step by step:
sequencers are just both a blessing and a curse - although it´s them to introduce the “machined” element into electronic music they tend to demonstrate quite gently the difference between repetitive and boring.
they shall be tight but not too much in love with the clock; editable while they´re running, flexible but not too complicated and last but not least small but operable. without doubt sequencers got the hell of a job in the jungle of electronic music devices.
there´s just one fact about it without controversy: there is no perfect sequencer ;)
