how could one do techno without sample&hold?

resistors are futile, all you need is a dual op-amp and a capacitor. feed in any control voltage and freeze to hold a sample. sorry you midi-folks, this trick isn“t made for you ;)

DIY: film container pot enclosure

when adding a control dial to some device sometimes it is more challenging how to mount the new pot than the electronic intervention itself. there’s either not enough space on the control surface or drilling a hole would be the bitch; at the best it’s all just about connecting a potentiometer to an existing footpedal jack. a simple external solution might be using a film roll container:

it’s always a sense of delight for us DIYers when the soldering iron is cooling off and things just work out like they are supposed to ;)

the notorious analogue solutions TR606 sound mod, a sync>trigger interface driving two simplencer step sequencers raising the dearest sounds out of our punkbox synth.
