how much is the fish?

flyer 19-zoll stammtisch #15

electronic PCBs sometimes carry strange easter eggs: some developers write down their names into the copper board, others draw smilies or pac man characters or even buddha figures and magic mushs.

however, recently we were staggered by this fish - not least because the flipside also carried “SOLI DEO GLORIA”. as being said techno grampa johann sebastian bach was signing some of his works like this, too.

we’re still wondering if that module is capable of producing bad and evil sounding drones as well. gonna be able to tell after populating the board ;)

just a snapshot from the chapter “at the soundlab by night”:

view from youtube

it’s always a sense of delight for us DIYers when the soldering iron is cooling off and things just work out like they are supposed to ;)
and there’re plenty of things in here:
the notorious analogue solutions TR606 sound mod, a sync>trigger interface driving two simplencer step sequencers raising the dearest sounds out of our punkbox synth.

just teasing :) stay tuned…
