mdz’s back after a long-term-no-release period, proudly presenting this net-compilation following in “freiton”’s footsteps, just tape & cdr gave way to virtual-digital formats now. the compilation mdz #1: acid is featuring all the live-acts of the corresponding party on apr-22 at phb-club (b).
wintermute (c) aka jan kiefer is my buddy since the days of input 64. if there’s anyone to know about roland’s x0x-machines or entiled to hold the “acid” tag, it’s probably him!
100records aka dirk budde & osti (on/off) are proving electronic music not to be just functional (read: one-dimensional) but may be also literarily, politically and above all: frictional.
raumagent alpha (oops: that’s me! ;-)) sometimes is said to be acid-like, although the main focus is techno-funk…
messsonde gertrud are the friedrichshain-kreuzberg based collective sound jam par excellence with heavy cast-rotation, somehow anti-functional but always trippy…

today i got mail from thomas naslin, who just dicovered the output 64 remix clip ron & his 1541 - push my button by andrew [deco-vision.de] on arte (tracks / backstage - chiptunes).
and again, it’s too bad that video clip never has been finished ;(
anyway, thomas also sent me the url of the show, however it’s an abominable wmv file and in french only:

nevertheless it’s quite enjoyable, you’ll find the c64 remix by gebr. teichmann as well as a lot of other interesting stuff…
